Pray for our Medical Outreach Volunteers – Cali, Colombia

AWR360° Health is seeking your earnest prayers for our medical professionals and non-medical volunteers (translators, etc.) for the major medical outreach event in Cali, Colombia, this month. Your prayers make a difference!

ABOUT THE EVENT

We want to invite you to participate in this wonderful medical outreach. Our purpose and mission is to follow Christ’s example by providing 360° of whole-person healing to those who have little or no access to health care. This is accomplished through our medical clinics that provide free medical, dental, eye care and surgical services. We anticipate approximately 3,000 people over four days at this event.

SCHEDULE

June 19: Arrive in Cali, Colombia

June 20: Set up for the medical clinic

June 21-24: Medical clinic

June 25: Worship and Sabbath retreat

June 26-27: Excursion to Bogota

June 28: Depart from Bogota 

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Colombia requires all visitors to be vaccinated for Covid, and within 24 hours before your return flight home, you will be required to show a negative test. The event coordinators will schedule the test for all volunteers. It will be done at the hotel and will cost around $35.

FLIGHT

Volunteers must schedule and pay for their own flights (about $800). If you would like to work with a travel agency, we recommend Butler Travel (503-879-5005).

HOTEL

The hotel costs approximately $48/night (total for two people) or $78/night (total for four people) for seven nights. One and two-bed options are available. Once you have registered, AWR360° Health will provide you with a link to make your own reservations. All volunteers are required to stay at the same hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn in Cali. 

TRANSPORTATION

AWR360° Health will provide transportation from the airport to the hotel upon your arrival, all transportation during the week, and a ride to the airport for your return trip.

MEALS

Breakfast will be provided at the hotel for no extra charge. Lunch and supper will be cooked by local church members at no cost.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO BOGOTA

The deadline to register for an optional two-day excursion to Bogota is May 1. The price is $275 per person.
