From Bitterness to Forgiveness
Jaslene hated the Philippine military. They had killed her husband and carted off his body, never to be seen again. On that day, she lost her husband, and her two young sons lost their father. This hardened Jaslene’s heart, and she vowed to raise her children to be the best fighters possible to avenge their father’s death.
By 13, her older son had joined the NPA guerrillas, and his younger brother soon followed. It seemed like their future course was set. But God was about to intervene in their lives in a spectacular way.
There was one possession Jaslene treasured above all others: her beautiful radio. It was her constant companion, especially after her sons left home to join the guerrillas. One day, as she turned the dial, she came upon an unfamiliar station. It was Adventist World Radio. What happened next changed the course of their lives and turned her hatred and bitterness into forgiveness.

It’s a never-before-released video from footage taken at the beginning of the guerrilla rebels’ saga—that journey of redemption so many of them traveled as God led them from broadcast to baptism to Fully Restored children of God. And I love that He used Adventist World Radio to do it!
