Give your phone a break get good Sabbath rest
Everyone deserves some rest. But how can we truly find repose for the body, mind, and heart?
When we allow God to control our lives, stress levels decrease. Why? Because suddenly, every single thing no longer depends on us.
Let God be in control of your week. God’s commandments were not given to cause us fear or anxiety. He only wants what’s best for us. In the fourth commandment, He asks us to rest on the Sabbath day.
For example, we can experience the Sabbath day with our phones turned off—especially if we’re inclined to scroll through social media. Why not disconnect from technology for a while and spend some quiet time with God? Or take part in some ministry work in the community?
God gave us an instituted vacation called the Sabbath. He knows our lives can become crazy and stressful.
