Do you remember where you were 50 years ago? Perhaps not even born yet, but it was in 1971 when Adventist World Radio broadcast its first program into the 10/40 window—an area of the world closed to the preaching of the gospel.

For the first time, millions of people had the chance to hear the name of Jesus and understand the plan of salvation. Attempts had been made for years to reach this cluster of countries—both communist and Muslim—with little success. Naysayers said it couldn’t be done and that the project would be too huge and too costly. But with God, all things are possible!

Today, more than 1,000 radio stations and studios—and the constant flow of testimonies of lives changed—attest to the power of radio when used in the service of God. Many of these countries remain closed, but our radio waves continue to enter unfettered, reaching the most remote and difficult corners of the world—because radio knows no walls, no borders and no limits!

Thank you for supporting the work of Adventist World Radio. When we work together for the salvation of others, miracles happen!

—Duane McKey, President
