Before giving his life to the Lord, Louis Torres was the lead bass player for the rock band Bill Haley & His Comets, known for the hit “Rock Around the Clock,” among others.

Louis’ path has been an unlikely one: born in one of the most impoverished barrios in Puerto Rico, he and his family struggled to survive. Upon hearing of the good life in New York City, his mother longed to take her little family of six to the land of opportunity. In the early ‘50s, the chance of a lifetime presented itself and she and three of her children moved to Brooklyn. “Louisito” was one of those “lucky” ones.

Don’t miss the remarkable story of Pastor Torres’ unlikely path from poverty to pop music to pastor.
