When I was five years old, I came down with the measles and was stuck indoors. My dad was outside working with the horses, and I wanted to see and hear what was going on, but the windows were closed. So I went and got a hammer and broke the window!
I got off easy that time, playing the sick card, but I’ve often thought about that incident and how God knows who we are. He knows our strengths and our weaknesses—and He can use them for His glory if we commit our lives to Him. He has even used my tenacity through the years!
I have the privilege of working with an amazing group of people at Adventist World Radio, and God is using this ministry in ways we never dreamed possible. One of those people is Pastor Wisam Ali, the director of our radio station and center of influence in Nazareth, Israel. His life has been a life of faith, and I often enjoy sharing what God is doing through his work in the Middle East. Here is a video where I share the latest miracle that took place when Wisam ventured into Jordan for a very special mission. It touched my heart, and you’ll be reading the full story in this month’s upcoming newsletter.
I don’t break windows anymore, but I now enjoy seeing and hearing what my Heavenly Father is doing around the world—and I especially love it when He uses Adventist World Radio to do it!
Yours in the Blessed Hope,
Duane McKey
