Her Dreams Were Shattered . . .
She had married the man of her dreams and her future looked bright, but her happiness was short-lived. Her husband began to change, and soon, what had once been a home filled with warmth and love turned into a cold, unbearable place of silence.
As time went on and her husband’s interest dwindled, her fear and anxiety grew, until one day, her worst fears were realized when he told her it was over. Despite her pleas, he left, shattering her once-perfect world.
Despair filled her heart and now all she could see was darkness ahead. Forbidden thoughts crowded her mind, and she thought the only way out was to end her life.
Taking a rope, she slung it over a beam. Then, to gather courage and drown out her thoughts, she turned on the radio.

In the end, this young couple finally understood that “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1). God worked a miracle in their lives, and I love that He used Adventist World Radio to do it!
