One Little Island, One Big Problem
Danawan is one of the smallest of the 7,000 islands in the archipelago that comprises the Philippines. We weren’t aware of its existence until about three years ago, when our radio station in Mindoro began receiving phone calls from the island every day!
They were coming from a community of seven families that call this island’s shoreline home—and they were all listening to Adventist World Radio! The truths were new to them, and they had many questions.
We immediately sent a Bible instructor to the island to hold a two-week evangelistic series. It was a wonderful time of fellowship as together the whole village learned the amazing Bible truths about Jesus and His soon return.
But there was a pressing problem on the island. Watch the video to find out what happened next, and how we were able to help these precious people. By God’s grace, today this island village is transformed—in more ways than one!
